EV Infra Advisory

Cancellation & Refund

When you can cancel, and what comes back.

Last updated: 12 August 2026

This policy applies to services purchased from evinfraadvisory.in and payments collected by EV Infra Advisory, including payments processed through Razorpay.

Our services are arranged as six steps, each including everything below it. The rules differ by step, because what “delivered” means differs by step. The steps and prices are set out on the Pricing page.

1. General conditions

A cancellation or refund request must include:

  • The purchaser’s name and contact details;
  • Razorpay payment ID, order ID or invoice number;
  • The service purchased;
  • The reason for the request; and
  • Any relevant supporting information.

Requests must be submitted to support@evinfraadvisory.in or +91 76800 78889. A request is treated as received when it is recorded through one of these channels.

Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method. Cash refunds or transfers to a different account will not normally be made.

2. Step 0 — free GeoSite screening and free tools

No fee is charged for the GeoSite screening, the opportunity maps, the station registries, the headline ROI calculation or any other tool identified as free. Therefore, no monetary refund applies.

Availability of a free tool or a particular result is not guaranteed.

The screening includes the go/no-go decision gate. If a plot fails that gate, the answer has been given at no charge, and no paid step will reverse it.

3. Step 1 — ₹499 written report

The ₹499 written report is a digital product generated on demand for one specific site, using the inputs and screening results present at the time of purchase. Payment is taken before generation begins.

  • If generation fails: the payment is refunded automatically and the report credit is restored, so a further attempt costs nothing. No request is required and no correspondence is necessary. If an automatic refund does not appear within 7 working days, contact us and we will process it manually.
  • Before generation begins: a purchased but unused report credit may be refunded on request.
  • After the report has been generated: the fee is not refundable. The report is produced specifically for the site requested and is delivered in full the moment it is generated, so it cannot be returned.
  • If the site does not qualify: the deterministic screening that produces that answer is free and is completed before any payment is taken. A report that concludes a site is unsuitable has been delivered as described and is not refundable on the ground that the conclusion was unfavourable.

The written report is produced by an AI language model working from the deterministic engine output. Where the two would conflict, the engine output governs. See the Terms & Conditions for what this does and does not mean.

4. ROI Pro

ROI Pro unlocks additional views and exports in the ROI calculator for 12 months. The calculator itself, including the headline result, remains free.

  • Access is granted immediately on payment and is therefore treated as delivered at that point.
  • A refund may be requested within 7 days of purchase provided no export has been downloaded.
  • ROI Pro supplied at no charge with Step 1, Step 2 or Step 3 has no independent cash value and is not separately refundable. Cancelling or refunding the step it came with ends the complimentary access.

5. Step 2 — ₹2,999 reviewed report and call

Step 2 consists of an annotated review of the written report, a scheduled advisory call, a DISCOM route note for the relevant state, and a written answer to the question the client identifies. It can be bought on the Website; the brief describing the site and the question is collected before payment.

  • Before the review begins and before a call is scheduled: the purchaser may cancel and receive a full refund of the amount paid.
  • After a call slot is confirmed but before the call: the purchaser should request rescheduling as early as possible. One rescheduling request will ordinarily be accommodated, subject to availability. A cancellation at this stage is not automatically refundable, because advisory capacity has been reserved and preparation of the annotated review may have started.
  • After the call has taken place, or after the annotated review or written answer has been started: the fee is not refundable.
  • After delivery: no refund is available once the call has taken place and the written material has been delivered, except where required by law or where we have failed to provide a material part of the purchased service.

If the client misses a confirmed call without giving at least 3 working days’ notice, we may treat the call component as delivered. We may nevertheless offer another slot at our discretion.

If we cancel and cannot provide a reasonable alternative date, the client may choose a full refund.

6. Step 3 — ₹12,999 feasibility pack

Step 3 is a remote assignment: a financial model built for the client’s site, demand and competition analysis, a comparison of charger configurations, an OEM shortlist with indicative pricing, and an approvals and compliance checklist for the relevant state. It can be bought on the Website; the brief describing the site and what is planned is collected before payment.

  • Before work starts: fully refundable on request.
  • Once work starts: the fee is not refundable. “Work starts” includes reviewing documents, validating data, conducting research, building the financial model, analysing the site, contacting suppliers for indicative pricing, or drafting any part of the deliverable.
  • Where work has started but the assignment is cancelled part-way, we may instead deliver the parts completed to that date, in place of a refund.

We take no commission from any supplier named in the shortlist. Any exceptional expense authorised by the client in writing, such as a paid dataset or a third-party professional cost, is non-refundable once incurred.

7. Step 4 — ₹49,999 site visit, DPR, 3D and AR

Step 4 is arranged by enquiry, confirmed in writing, and invoiced. It is the first step at which we travel to the site. Travel and stay are excluded from the fee — see section 9.

How the fee is apportioned. Because the parts are delivered weeks apart, the fee is treated as three components for refund purposes, and this apportionment is stated on the order confirmation:

  • Site visit and measured survey — 40%
  • Detailed Project Report and BOQ — 40%
  • 3D layout model and AR walkthrough — 20%
  • Before a visit date is confirmed: fully refundable, less any travel or accommodation cost already committed with the client’s written approval.
  • After a visit date is confirmed, cancelled more than 5 working days before the visit: the fee is refundable, less travel and accommodation already committed on a non-refundable basis.
  • Cancelled 5 working days or less before the visit, or on the day: the site visit component (40%) is payable, because the date, the travel and the day’s capacity can no longer be reassigned. The remaining components are refunded. Committed travel and accommodation remain payable.
  • After the visit has taken place: the site visit component is delivered and is not refundable. The DPR and 3D/AR components remain refundable only if we fail to deliver them.
  • After a component is delivered: that component is not refundable, except where required by law or where we have failed to provide a material part of it.

If we cannot reach the site on the confirmed date for a reason attributable to us, we will offer a further date at no additional fee and bear our own travel cost for the abandoned trip. If access is refused, the site is not available, or the necessary permissions are absent when we arrive, the visit is treated as delivered and a further visit is chargeable.

The DPR is a project document prepared for the client’s own use, and for discussion with lenders, boards, suppliers and authorities. It is not a sanction, an approval, a valuation, an engineering certification or a guarantee of finance. A lender declining to fund a project is not a failure of delivery and does not create a refund right.

8. Step 5 — project management, launch and CPO advisory

Step 5 starts from ₹99,999 and is scoped to the individual build. It is arranged by enquiry against an accepted written proposal that states the milestones, the fee for each, and the payment schedule.

  • A milestone is refundable if cancellation is accepted before work on that milestone starts.
  • A milestone becomes non-refundable once work on it starts.
  • Amounts paid in advance for later milestones that have not started are refunded, after deducting any expressly approved third-party costs already incurred for those milestones.
  • Where a partly completed milestone can reasonably be separated from the remaining work, we may deliver the work completed to the cancellation date instead of refunding it.

We take no commission from any charger supplier, operator or contractor. Cancellation of our engagement does not cancel or reverse a separate contract entered into directly between the client and a supplier, operator, contractor, landlord, utility or other third party, and we are not responsible for amounts committed under those contracts.

9. Travel, stay and out-of-pocket costs

Steps 4 and 5 involve coming to the site. Travel and accommodation are excluded from the quoted fee and are billed at actual cost with no mark-up.

  • We estimate the amount and obtain the client’s written approval before anything is booked.
  • If the trip does not happen and nothing has been booked, nothing is charged.
  • Once a ticket or booking is made on a non-refundable basis with that approval, that cost is payable even if the trip is later cancelled. Where a booking is refundable, we will cancel it and pass on the refund in full.
  • Actual receipts are provided with the invoice.

The same applies to any other out-of-pocket cost the client approves in writing, such as a paid dataset, a survey instrument hire, or a statutory fee paid on the client’s behalf.

10. Monthly reporting plans

This section covers Project Execution Monitoring, Hub Performance Review, Retained Advisory and any other recurring engagement.

Who these are available to. Recurring plans are offered only to clients whose project we are already engaged on. They cannot be bought by someone with no existing engagement, because there would be no project for us to report on.

How they are billed. These plans are not sold through the website and no automatic recurring charge is set up. Each month is invoiced separately and paid separately. Nothing is stored against a card and nothing renews by itself. To stop, tell us before the next month is invoiced; the month already paid for is delivered and no further invoice is raised.

Refunds. The fee for a month is not refundable once work for that month has started, which ordinarily means once we have begun compiling that month’s report. Any amount collected for a month in which no work has started is refunded in full.

Reports depend on data you supply. Each monthly report is produced from information the client provides — meter readings, session data, site updates and similar records. Where that information is not supplied for a given month, the report will state what was missing and what could not be assessed, rather than estimating around the gap. A report delivered on that basis has been delivered, and the month is not refundable on the ground that data was absent. We will ask for missing data before the report is finalised.

If we fail to deliver a monthly report at all for a month in which the required data was supplied on time, that month is refundable.

11. Delivery delays

Indicative turnaround periods are:

  • Step 1 written report: immediate, on the page the purchase was made from;
  • Step 2 call: offered within 3 working days after payment and completed intake;
  • Step 2 annotated review and written answer: within 3 working days after the call;
  • Step 3 feasibility pack: within 10 working days;
  • Step 4 site visit: on a date agreed in writing, ordinarily within 10 working days of confirmation, subject to site access and travel approval;
  • Step 4 DPR, 3D model and AR walkthrough: within 15 working days after the visit; and
  • Step 5 milestone: within 20 working days, or according to the accepted proposal.

These periods begin only after required payment, information, approvals and access have been received. Client delays, material scope changes and third-party dependencies extend the timeline reasonably.

A delay alone does not create an automatic refund right. If we expect a material delay attributable to us, we will offer a revised delivery date. If that revised date is not reasonable for the client and the affected work has not started, the client may cancel the affected service or component for a refund.

12. Duplicate or incorrect payments

A verified duplicate payment or payment collected in error will be refunded in full. Please report it promptly with both payment references.

13. Refund review and processing

We will acknowledge a complete refund request within 2 working days.

After checking the service status and payment record, we will communicate whether the request is approved, rejected or requires further information.

An approved refund will be initiated through Razorpay or the relevant payment method within 3 working days. After initiation, the bank, card issuer, UPI provider or payment network may require additional time to credit the amount. This external processing time is outside our control.

Where a tax invoice has been issued, the refund and any credit note will be handled in accordance with applicable GST requirements.
